Two unrelated items....but we were so proud of Ford for finally getting that "pedaling thing" right on his tricycle! It was warm one day after school and we went out to play and he just hopped on his Radio Flyer and took off down the sidewalk. We learned that our sidewalk is uphill one way and he doesn't quite have the strength to get up the hill yet. So Mommy or Daddy usually end up carrying the tricycle back to the other end of the sidewalk for him.....but you get the point! He was so proud of himself!
Another one of those "I'm so proud to be Ford's Mommy" moments came this week when we were talking about two little boys that attend pre-school with Ford. They aren't in his daily class, but he plays with them in the mornings as all the children are arriving. Apparently these two little boys, who will remain nameless, are a bit rough when playing and Ford doesn't quite like them. He was telling me about them one day and said he wanted to send a note to God to ask Him to keep the two little boys from being so mean to him. So we stopped what we were doing and Ford and I said a little prayer that the boys would learn to play nicely and stop being so mean. That broke my heart, and made me so proud, that instead of wanting to hit back he chose to pray for them!
