Rough Easter.

Ford had a rough Easter weekend! After waking up sick early Saturday morning, he ended up running a fever with a sore throat by the end of the day. By Sunday he had a TERRIBLE sore throat and a rash all over his body. Our fears were confirmed by our wonderful pediatrician, Dr. Hain, on Monday morning.....Ford had scarlet fever (strep with a rash). Even after just one day of antibiotics and heavy slathering of some serious lotion...he is feeling much better and is on the mend.

Thankfully Jim had already planned to take the week off, so he and Ford have been watching movies, working puzzles in a mega-activity book and dying Easter eggs since Ford was too sick over the weekend to participate in the Nashville Zoo's Easter Eggstravaganza or hunt eggs with the family.

Easter time!

Ford's class made and decorated their own Easter "bags" this past week at school and then ended the week with a huge egg hunt on the playground. You've never seen children move so fast as when they know little plastic eggs filled with candy await them!

Our dear friend Mrs. Mindy Orman always drops off a treat for Ford around any holiday...this Easter she gave Ford some candy (always a big hit!) and some tag-along ducks (so cute!). Thanks, Mrs. Mindy!
